About Paris

Paris is of course the capital of France. The city covers 105.4 sq km (40.7 sq mi) straddling the River Seine. It has a population of 2.2 million people within an metropolitan area holding a population of 14.5 million people. The city is in the Central European Time Zone, which is an hour ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+1).

Long noted as a very romantic city, Paris continues to attract droves of tourists from all over the world. There is a lot to see and do, and you are more likely limited by time as well as money. As many would discover, Paris is not the cheapest destination to visit.
