Île Saint-Louis is one of the two natural island located near each other on the River Seine in Paris. It was named after King Louis IX. Originally a place for grazing market cattle, the island was developed and built up during the reigns of King Henri IV and King XIII during the 17th century.

Today Île Saint-Louis is mostly residential. However it also has a number of restaurants, shops and cafés.
